Fort Worth Artist Allison Castillo Launches Bold New Line of Texas-Inspired Scarves
Colorful, Trendsetting Accessories Feature Nods to TCU and the State of Texas with a Unique Artistic Flare.
Fort Worth, Texas -- Allison Castillo Design Studio is injecting a fresh, fun dose of color into warm weather wardrobes with the introduction of a new line of vibrant scarves to fashionistas in the DFW market. The vision of Fort Worth painter and designer Allison Castillo, the versatile scarves are available in two graphic prints that bring an artist’s touch to any outfit. Retailing for $59.00, the unique textiles are already finding a following among fashion-savvy bloggers and in-the-know style influencers and have been picked up by select, trendsetting boutiques around DFW.
Inspired by the boldly colored textiles created by the skilled Otomi artisans of Central Mexico, Allison Castillo -- an abstract artist working in large-scale mixed media canvases -- brings her characteristic flare for striking saturation and pattern play to her ready-to-wear scarf line. Distinctive in their punchy palettes and graphic prints, the luxe accessories showcase a new, vivid spin on a fashionable trend with their recognizable reimaginings of iconic Texas symbols. Made from a 100% viscose, medium-weight material, the scarves are incredibly soft to the touch and provide the perfect degree of draping. Their oversized 38”-70” design also makes them a versatile and multi-functioning wardrobe staple that can be transformed into a on-trend Boho vest, breezy beach cover up, and cool halter top.
In announcing the launch of her first accessory line, Castillo commented “I’m thrilled to bring this line of scarves to the fashion-savvy ladies of DFW. As an artist, I am constantly finding inspiration from things around me. One of my mottos is, “color your world,” and the color and vibrancy of the Otomi-fabrics spoke to me in a big way. I wanted to created the same kind of refinement, energy, and fun in my scarves that I see in the women of DFW. I hope the women feel that same energy wearing them.” The Allison Castillo Design Studio line currently includes artistic nods to TCU, Baylor University, and the state of Texas at-large. A creative and collaborative artist, Castillo is also available for consultation and design of custom patterns. Scarves retail for $59.00 and are available for individual purchase via the artist’s website. Custom designs with a minimum order number of 12 units begins at $354.
